Junior Junkanoos
Open enrollment for students ages 6 and up.
BVMP Junior Junkanoos is a cultural collaboration of Bahama Village Music Program and Key West Junkanoos aiming to embolden and empower the children of our community by learning about their cultural heritage through music and movement. BVMP Junior Junkanoos will highlight the cultural importance of the Junkanoo celebration and inspire the next generation to continue this beautiful and authentic form of dance and cultural expression.
Tuesdays & Thursdays 4-5pm
Meets in the Douglass Gym.
Junior Junkanoos is BVMP’s newest program, in collaboration with Key West Junkanoos, and we are so proud to help keep this Caribbean tradition alive! Led by Harold Pelote and sponsored by the Old Island Restoration Foundation, Florida Keys Council of the Arts and Fantasy Fest.
